To maintain a healthy perspective, you may find it useful to use the PPOFF acronym, which stands for:
P = Positive
P = Proactive
O = Organized
F = Flexible
F = Focused
Each of the 5 letters in the PPOFF acronym are essential components to living a life that is happy, productive and full of continuous growth. I use the PPOFF acronym on many occasions. For example, if I am having a particularly bad day, I stop and ask myself if I am part of the problem. I do this by reviewing PPOFF in my head. I ask myself, am I not being positive, proactive, organized, flexible or focused? Usually, I find that one or more of these mind sets is contributing to my own “bad day” experience. And, if I stop and make a conscious effort to have a more positive attitude, move forward more proactively, figure out how to better organize the process, think about how I could be more flexible or see an issue from someone else’s perspective, or focus my energies on the top priority, I inevitably turn a bad day into a good one. Try it, you can do the same!
